Measuring Student Achievement is Easy with PE Metrics
PE Metrics: Assessing the National Standards, Standard 1: Elementary presents appropriate assessments for grade levels K, 2 and 5 for Standard 1. After five years of extensive testing and documentation while working with students from all over the country, NASPE developed valid and reliable assessments to help physical educators evaluate student success as they meet the National Standards for Physical Education at the grade levels. Each assessment has a clear focus on a skill that is basic to many more complex games and activities.
PE Metrics Includes:
• Ready-to-use assessments addressing
the basic skills children should be able to perform at grade levels K, 2 and
5
• CD for easy reproduction of each assessment
• DVD that includes motion analysis,
acceptable performance and common errors for each skill.
In tandem with PE Metrics, teachers have the standards they should be using to plan instruction and the assessments they should be using to measure performance.
